Heat pumps - Lennox and Daikin - thoughts, please?
I'm from California (SF Bay). I'm looking to replace our 28-yo gas furnace and 26yo AC. We have a 2-story, 2400 sq ft home - built in 1996.
I had considered replacement with another gas furnace b/c gas is less expensive (and PGE's number of electric outages in the winter months is generally nil in our area).
I'm considering heat pumps at this point. The two quoted so far are:
Lennox Heat Pump EL18KSLV-060 5Tons
Daikin Heat Pump DH7VS 5Ton
What are your considerations and recommendations for either, please?
What other units might be useful to look at, please?
Kind regards
[The state of CA is generally hostile against gas and new real estate disclosure forms will inform buyers that if a house has gas appliances, furnaces, etc that any future replacement will need be electric (after some date).]
[and I'm thinking solar with batteries at this point as well - If I'm going electric, then go all in]
