Do digital scales have memory?

Hi, my digital scale has an annoying pattern and I’m trying to figure it out. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I’m not sure if memory is the right word, but my scale has this pattern where it will give a different reading three times in a row, then give the third result every time after that. If I wait a few minutes it starts all over again. Usually it starts lower and then goes higher but it will do it in reverse as well.

For example, this morning it said 272.8, then 273.6, then 274 over and over. I took a shower and it went back to 272.8.

I’ve changed the batteries and nothing changed.

Does anyone know why it does that and which reading I should use? Should I just go with the first one?
