Hi everyone,

Following up to my previous post from yesterday planning to buy a scooter and today I visited the TVS and Suzuki showrooms to check out the TVS Jupiter 110, Jupiter 125, and Suzuki Access 125. The dealers gave me the pricing and accessory codes.

Tomorrow, I’m planning to visit the Honda dealership to check out the Activa 125.

This is my first time buying a scooter and visiting showrooms, so I have a few doubts and would really appreciate your help:

1. Discounts:

TVS dealer said there are no cash discounts—only some offers on accessories.

Suzuki dealer said there are no discounts at all.

I asked about Diwali offers, but they said there likely won’t be any additional discounts then either.
→ So should I buy now, or is it better to wait?

2. Insurance:

Should I get insurance from the dealership or purchase it separately online?

I’ve heard external insurance might be cheaper or offer better options, but not sure what’s more reliable.

3. Add-ons & Charges:

Are there any unnecessary charges or accessories I should watch out for and avoid?

4. BH (Bharat) Number Plate Eligibility:

I work in a private company that operates in 2–3 different states. Am I eligible for a BH number plate?

I know central and state government employees are eligible, but for private employees, I heard the company must be present in at least 4 states/UTs. Is this true?

Any guidance from recent buyers or people with experience in this would be really helpful. Thanks so much in advance! 🙏
