One of my favorite bugs still persists from 2042, Crouch when toggling zoom

This happened in 2042 and it wa really frustrating. i would've assumed that it was fixed over the years, but looks like this game has the EXACT same problem. When you change the control scheme to "alternate" (so that melee and crouch are swapped), if you are using a vaariable zoom scope or a canted site, you will crouch when changing optics. Very frustrating when your swapping form a 5x to your canted iron sites and you crouch for no reason.
i've gone through all the settings and nothing besides melee is bound to Circle/B
if anybody knows a remedy, i would appreciate it.
