Depo-Provera after bisalp & uterine ablation?

When I came home after my procedures, I noticed they had given me an informational sheet about Depo-Provera which i believe they gave me before or after.

Does anyone know the purpose of this (or has had this happen)? My gyno's office is closed until Monday.
