Unable to switch from legacy peformance mode to performance mode

Just today I installed the new season, and found another option for performance mode, which would supposedly give better performance as more than one of my cpu cores would be utilized. I have a ryzen 5 5500u on a lenovo ideapad 3. Upon selectiong the performance mode option from legacy performance mode, and restarting my game, I keep getting legacy performance mode, and i have tried several times to reboot my game, and it still gives me the same legacy performance mode
