Unpopular Opinion: Battlefield 6 Is Simultaneously Too Fast, Too Slow, and Possibly Perfect, But Also Irredeemable
TTK is a joke. Either I’m getting deleted before I can react or I’m shooting someone for a full calendar year and they just walk it off. Pick a lane, DICE. Either it’s ultra-realistic war or laser tag for emotionally stunted adults—right now it’s both and neither.
Movement? I’ve seen cruise missiles turn faster. But also: why can people bunny hop like they’re auditioning for Cirque du Soleil? One guy slide-canceled through my soul and I had a midlife crisis mid-match.
And don’t even get me started on the maps. Too open for close quarters, too tight for vehicles, too vertical for snipers, and somehow too flat for immersion. It’s like someone hit “shuffle” on map design and poured coffee on the blueprints.
The loadouts are too restrictive, except when they’re not, in which case they’re too customizable and break immersion. Why is my assault class carrying AA missiles and an espresso machine?
UI? I didn’t even see it because my retinas retracted in protest. BF4 was confusing, BF6 is performance art.
But here’s the thing…
Despite all of that, after dozens of hours of heated analysis, deep soul-searching, and rewatching the trailer on loop in 1440p…
I’ve never actually played the game.
I’m just here for the drama and to feel something again.
