Forgot that most of my friends don't read ao3 as a hobby

Sometimes I forget that not everyone reads kinky smut on ao3 as a past time and that leads to some very awkward interactions. I just wanted to share one that happened not long ago:

I was trying to explain to my friend why leaving her phone on charge when it already got to 100% was bad for the phone, and decided that saying "it's like overstimulation, feels good 'till it doesn't" would be the best way to get my point across.

She proceeded to stare at me like I just murdered her family and said something along the lines of "you and your archive of our orgasms"

Yeah. Has this happened to anyone else or...?

(Also not sure if I'm using the right flair, I struggle with flairs so much someone help me)
