Are recruiters ok?

I’ve spoken to several recruiters at this point in my search of applying and it is making me want to avoid anything involving them.

I get the same spiel of them loving my resume and wanting to set up a call. When day of said call arrives, there’s something specific the job is looking for that I don’t have. If they are not flexible then why are you wasting both of our times?

I understand there’s a “database” to hold until something pops up but starting to think that’s bs.
