Would having a higher ratio of women compared to men make society better?

I keep hearing about the male loneliness epidemic. Many angry and frustrated young men are taking on more extreme views. Some even reach the point where they commit acts of extreme violence.

Then I think to China and how for years their 1 child policy led to families favoring boys. Which now has led to China having a surplus of lonely and unmarried men. What if society engineered for more girl births and the female to male demographic would be like 60/40? Would that be beneficial and lead to a more peaceful society?
