Grinder Adjustment Issue

Just received my C3 esp Pro today The grinding settings seems to be smooth spinning, and doesn’t actually adjust the grind, as apposed to the clicking I’d expected.

With this I don’t seem to be able dismantle it as I’ve read it requires rotating to a particular grind setting to open, whereas mine spins around endlessly.

Is there an issue with my grinder or am I missing something?
