Welcoming Trixie : Upgrade or Wait?

Had a not so good experience when I was upgrading from Bullseye to Bookworm back then. So I hope this time it doesn't happen again. Is it smarter to wait for a week or two before upgrading, or upgrade instantly? Plus when upgrading, should I go for dist-upgrade or upgrade works as is?
