How to best setup this split screen framing style like in Gaspar Noe's Vortex ?

Hello all! I'm looking to re-create this split screen style for a short film and don't know where to start as I'm quite the amateur with davinci... If possible, I would love to set it up in a way that davinci recognizes two distinctive frames and their borders, that way I can track objects at the center of both frames. Let me know if this isn't clear, any tips and tutorials would be highly appreciated! Cheers!
