Should I ask her out?

So there's this girl I met about a month ago at an event in college and we're friends since then. We have already met a few times (just casually tho) and we'll meet again in about two weeks when she's back from her vacation.

I know for quite a while that I have feelings for her, and we get along really well, like we have many shared interests/hobbies, a similar music taste etc.

But I don't know if she's even into girls. And I'm worried that if I confess my feelings to her that she'll be uncomfortable or feel harassed by me or something and that this will end our friendship. I really don't want her to leave my life, since I like her a lot and I don't have many other friends.

I actually really want to ask her out the next time we meet, but I have no idea how I should do this, or if I shouldn't even do it to not risk our friendship. Do y'all maybe have an idea how I can ask her out or an advice if I should even do this? Thanks in advance qwq
