You can’t diagnose or judge people based off the show.

OPINION

It’s disappointing to see people doing this, especially professional or people in this area of study.

You can’t pass judgement on people, or diagnose them, based off what we see on Love Island.

  1. These are not real life situations. These are pressure cooker, manipulated, manufactured, stressful environments. How someone might act or react is not necessarily indicative of who they are or how they act or react in real life situations. Stop and put yourself in the position. You are not getting enough sleep, in the sun all day, being filmed, always with the same people, no break from them, you are all dating each other, when you break up you watch them right in your face, the only people to talk to are those same people.. and more. Is that the time to get a realistic read on a person? Enough to label them with a mental illness or disorder? You’re joking, yes??

  2. We do not see entire interactions. We don’t know what they are actually saying to each other. We don’t know how they are consistently treating each other. We see snippets in order to drive a certain story line. We really know very little about their full experiences in the villa.

So stop pretending we know anything really about these people.
