What are we doing for protection??

I’m SO tired of opting to stay in the house with my baby because I’m afraid of going out. I live in a city that has a higher rate of homeless people and a lot of them tend to be on all kinds of drugs. I can’t really avoid them because they’re pretty much everywhere unless I drive like an hour out of the city which I’d rather not. But I’m just so tired of staying in because it’s driving me crazy and my baby isn’t happy either. We have a patio (we live in apartments) and it’s nice and everything but it’s just not doing it. Before having a baby I was pretty good at just slipping by people. I was quiet and people didn’t notice as much but now that I have a baby, it’s impossible!!!! She loves to babble so everywhere we go, you can hear us lol. I always get stopped at the grocery store (which is nice because it’s old ladies most of the time), I get stopped at the park, literally everywhere.

Like I literally just got back from a walk at the park and I didn’t see the homeless man (typically before I enter the park I scan the entire area to make sure I know where people are, but I just so happen didn’t see him). And as I walk past he goes “is there a baby in that stroller??” Like ofc I didn’t say anything and I just walked quickly by but like why the fuck do you want to know??? And I’m not saying all homeless people are bad, just literally majority of them in my city are on some kind of drug (you can tell bc of the fentanyl fold). So seriously are we all just staying inside and going on outdoors when our husbands come home or are we like strapped or something?😭
