Vet/oncologist for dog's pancreatic carcinoma?
Hi everyone. I'm looking for some much needed advice on something. My brother's five year-old French bulldog was just diagnosed with pancreatic carcinoma. I'm doing a lot of work to try to find alternative therapies, experimental treatments, anything and everything that might be an option as the prognosis is not good right now. For those who are medically/veterinarily-inclined, I'm including details at the bottom.
This is really not my world, so I would love any leads, advice, anything at all you might know of that could help. He's based in Los Angeles, so perhaps you know of some expert(s) in Southern California? I'm really going here for any options at all that might help. Thank you so much, I really, really appreciate it!!
- Pancreatic Carcinoma
- Pancreatitis/inflammation
- Sizable mass on the right side
- Enlarged lymph nodes and carcinoma cells found (metastatic spread)
- 80% metastatic rate / likelihood for this type of cancer
- Luckily not in liver or lungs (for now)
- Palladia has been suggested.
