Which would you keep?

Review/Discussion

Hi all,

I have a couple of amps I've gotten at estate and garage sales over the last couple of years and I'm not sure which one to keep. I know how dumb that sounds as I should just keep the one that sounds better. The thing is, I live in a tiny apartment and am unable to play anything at a decent volume; at the low volume I'm restricted to, they sound the same to me.

I currently have a pair of JBL Studio 530's as my speakers, a Rasp-PI with a DAC hat running Volumio for streaming, and a Cambridge Audio CD player rounding out my system.

These are the two amps I have:

  • NAD C320BEEE

  • Rotel RB-980BX

Any thoughts on which amp is the keeper of the two and why you'd keep one over the other?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts on my ridiculous "problem". :)
