Struggling with Counter-Punish Optimization as Sagat

Recently I’ve been working on optimizing my combos, but I’ve noticed I’m really struggling with counter-punish. For example, when playing Sagat, I find it almost impossible during a match to recognize a counter-hit after just one c.LP and then follow up with B.HP. Do you have any tips, drills, or maybe good YouTube resources you’d recommend?
