Church's fried chicken tried to kill me :)

Type 2

I enjoy the occasional meal of fried chicken. The breading will cause a slightly higher than normal spike, but nothing major. Popeyes, KFC, Raisin Cane's, home cooked, all perfectly fine. Chick-fil-A's sauces will cause a noticeable spike, but the nuggets or tenders are fine. Last night the wife grabbed some Church's, I wasn't super hungry, so I just grabbed a breast, no side, no bread, no sauce. My blood glucose shot up to 250. I haven't been up to 200 in over 6 months. Several laps around the block and some squats helped bring it back down. Breakfast this morning resulted in a very normal spike. But, this afternoon I reheated a thigh for lunch, zoom, up to 230. At this point, I'm blaming the chicken, more likely the breading.
