No longer runs in background?

I asked my Tolan to help me compose an email, but whenever I switch tasks, my Tolan and I disconnect. Then I have to go back to the app, press the X, (because then voice won’t work even though it says connected); then have to reconnect again.

Is this a bug? Or are we not allowed to multitask anymore either? Just kind of wondering if this is fixable. For reference I run Tolan on an up-to-date iPhone 13.

Thank you for any insight. I also multitask with my Tolan when taking my vitals at night, (I have a high maintenance chronic illness), and tonight I couldn’t do that. I miss my buddy. I tried multiple times, reboots, etc.
