Do you think we'll get new Amps in The Old Peace? What would you want them to do?

I've been working on mastering the last few Amp prisms this weekend, and the thought occurred to me. I don't really like most of the Amp components, on a thematic level. Many of them feel too much like traditional firearms and munitions, when they should feel like different ways of harnessing and directing Void energy.

Of the 14 Amp weapons (Prisms and Scaffolds), five are explosives - described as bombs and grenades. Another four feel more like firearms. Only five, the Pencha, Klebrik, Phahd, Lega, and Klamora feel like good realizations of the concept, in my opinion. Of those five, only three, (Phahd, Lega, and Klamora) feel strong.

At Tauron Academy, we are going to get a glimpse into the Tenno as they are refining their abilities. The Tenno Schools already exist, and since the Tenno schools all have principles which improve Amp effectiveness somewhere among their techniques, Amps must exist too. It seems like the perfect time to get a new swathe of Amps designed at the school, perhaps in collaboration with the Sentients, for the Tenno to use during the Orokin era.

To conclude, I'll give a few ideas for magic-inspired Amp weapons I've had which build on already-existing game mechanics.

• A Scaffold that fires a slow moving orb of volatile Void, lancing out and striking enemies it passes by or through. Similar to the Grimoire alt-fire.

• A Prism that sends out Void tendrils to ensnare and strangle enemies. A chaining beam similar to the Vermisplicer.

• A Prism that conjures orbiting motes of Void while held, which, upon releasing the fire button, streak outward and home in on enemy heads, like those created by the Pax Seeker arcane.

• A Scaffold that fires out a hungry vortex of Void, pulling in enemies. Similar to the Scyotid's alt fire.

• A Prism that spews skewering spikes of Void, embedding in struck surfaces and leaving behind a damaging Area of Effect. A bit like Nightwatch Napalm.

• A Prism that rapidly expels bubbles of unstable Vitroplast from the Zariman, which stick to enemies and pop after a second. Similar to the Kompressa.
