Mazahua filigree — have you heard of it?
Mazahua filigree is a traditional Mexican jewelry-making technique, originating from the Mazahua Indigenous community. It involves twisting and shaping fine silver threads into delicate, lace-like designs — a process that requires incredible skill and patience.
Every piece is entirely handmade by skilled artisans, making each creation unique. The set I’m sharing here was crafted in Taxco, Mexico, honoring this centuries-old tradition.
Have you ever seen or owned Mazahua filigree before?
