I can't believe I spend $500 on a facial
I feel like a freaking idiot. I have never gotten a facial done before, and I wanted to treat myself to one after getting over a bit of a slump in my life. I went to this place that advertises facials for around $200. I thought, sure, I can invest in myself for a bit and get a facial. However, when I went in, the lady who was going to do my facial let me know that the facial I selected wasn't the best for my skincare concerns and recommended another one to me. I was like, okay, sure. AND THEN CAME THE ADD-ONS!
I was so freaking stupid. I agreed to all the add-ons that the lady recommended, not knowing how much they all cost. A peel, LED lights, a speacial serum, some freaking cooling device that was an extra $45! OMG I am so mad at myself. And the thing was, it's my fault. The lady asked me if I wanted to know the price, but I didn't think it would add up like this, so I said no. I feel so freaking dumb.
And I'm grateful that this expense will not set me back financially, but I'm just so disappointed in myself for making such an irresponsible financial decision. I am a very budget-oriented person and a bit of a penny pincher, so this was definitely out of my comfort zone. I'm comfortable with my spending, but I'm not spending a good portion of my monthly income on a facial comfortable.
I'm taking this as a learning experience to speak up and ask about the costs of things and say no to items or that I'm not willing to spend that much money. My total was $529, and I walked out in the same depression I had before, and it's all my fault. I will be punching the sky about how stupid I was when it came to this, but I'll get over it, eventually.
