Have wanted to be apart of the force my whole life and finally have the chance.

I (22F) have had a passion for criminal justice since I was a young girl. I would get yelled at by my mom for watching true crime/ID at the ripe age of 7 and went to school for criminal justice. I put off applying to the police department due to being worried about the current state of the government, but have decided to move past that and try to be “one of the good ones”.

I finally applied and got accepted to come and take the physical / written exam.. to say the least I’m petrified. I want this SO BAD, but I’m scared I won’t pass either exam. I have one month to prepare (testing date is 9/13).

Questions: What are some things I need to know and what is the best way to train/study for these exams?

What does the entirety of this process look like?

Is it harder to get accepted as a woman?
