Coworkers issue?

Hi everyone, I’m a hairstylist working at Great Clips. I haven’t been in the industry for very long, but I’ve been getting more and more repeat clients lately, which makes me really enjoy my job.

However, I’ve been feeling quite stressed recently because of a few selfish coworkers. If you’ve ever worked here or at a similar chain, you probably know that we take clients in the order they come in, so things run quickly and efficiently. I don’t have any problem with that system at all—but what really frustrates me is when certain team members purposely try to pick and choose their clients.

For example, they’ll refuse clients from India or Afghanistan, saying those clients “never tip,” or they’ll avoid female clients whose haircut or styling might take more effort. Sometimes they suddenly act “busy,” take a break, or disappear into the restroom to avoid taking the client.

I’ve mentioned this to the manager, but the change never lasts long. Should I just confront them directly? I’m a pretty introverted person, so I’m struggling with how to handle this…
