Reading "The Mist"

I just got "The Mist" through a library loan on Libby after waiting quite a while. I was looking on the Wikipedia page to see if it was included in a collection and it was ("Skeleton Crew") but edited. My question is, if you've read both of them, is it worth it to read the stand-alone version if you've already read the "Skeleton Crew" version?
