Dreaded Samsung Dishwasher

Hello all,

Feeling the gripe of owning Samsung appliances. Wife and I have moved and owner bought everything Samsung. I feel these were mayeb 'off the truck's deals...but w.e.

Issue with the dishwasher. We don't use it often due to a wasted space kitchen by previous owners. We typically just use the dishwasher as a giant dry rack after washing. We do try to run a cycle once a week at that. I've do e a multiple clean cycles (2 months) a d usually use pods for the dishes.

However the other day I noticed all this black/brown gunk at the bottom where the door swings open.

I've ran a paper towel under and it was nasty, but thought i got it. 2 days later it's back.

Has anyone ran into this? What did you do to fix? Model: DW80R5601UA

Odd I can't show a photo of it. Can send it required. Dirt is only where the door swings open .

We typically rinse the dishes when dirty before putting in, which is the one a week wash. Otherwise we wash and rinse the dishes and leave einnthe dishwasher as a giant drying rack.

Thanks
