Are PvP queues shared with PvE realms?

Originally started off as a PvE player in classic and until Wrath. Wanted to come back now, because MoP PvP was amazing imo. However, I created my characters on a PvE realm, and that's where I've got all my gold and items, that could be useful for leveling and so on.

Will that limit me in any way PvP wise? I'm aware of the world PvP issues, but I will only be queueing into BGs, arenas, and so on.
