Decorating lanyards?
Is anyone allowed to decorated their tjmaxx lanyards or does their manager just turn a blind eye to it??
I am a new hire and I like to decorate new things to my personality. When I first got my lanyard yesterday I put my pink Tamagotchi connection on it immediately and my manager hasn't said a thing. Other employees complimented me on it and told me it was cute. It is a good conversation starter with customers as well. Customers (especially those from the 90s and 2000s) see it and have a big smile on their face. I love Tamagotchis and wanna put more on my lanyard as well as some other random keychains my bf got me.
But more importantly, I have a lot of pins, (none inappropriate, controversial, or political) that I want to put on my lanyard to decorate it and show my personality. Some from blood donation, some from school accomplishments, some from my hobbies like hiking and traveling, etc. just some cute pins in general.
I saw a picture of someone on this sub showing off their decorated lanyard with pins on it. But I know that in the employee dress code they said specifically no buttons or pins that have not been approved by the company. I don't think that it applies to keychains though cause I see almost every one of my coworkers with some sort of cute keychain on their lanyard under their name tag. So I know that the keychain is probably okay to have. I just want to know what other people who work here do for their lanyards if anything, and if their employer actually allows it, or just pretends not to see it or what. And if so how else to they get away it decorating their lanyard while still following the dress code.
