Help I don't know what to do
Hello, today I went to the nursing home where an aunt I have attends, she has Down syndrome and has been attending this nursing home for approximately 3 years, and everything has gone well or good it seems. Today a lady came to give the word of God and everything was normal until a grandfather said "I'm afraid, I don't want to disappear, they have me kidnapped, they won't let me out" I could see in her voice how there was frustration but well I guess it's normal at that age, maybe he still doesn't accept several things and obviously they don't let him out for his safety. The lady who came tried to calm him down and said that out there people worked and in here people rested that it was a cycle and that's how he started to say, the truth is I didn't pay attention to it anymore. Almost every time I go I bring them popsicles or small things like that so they can eat and today I brought them popsicles and I distributed them to everyone and in the end to this man and when I gave it to him he said “I'm afraid” and I told him why? And he told me that he felt kidnapped and that they treated him very badly, that when he said things like that they punished him and left him without food and that the nurses were bad, he told me that they stole money from his pension and that they did not communicate with his family. He sounded really frustrated. What upset me the most was that she told me that my aunt who was there didn't treat her so well, that one time she fell and they didn't notify my family and that they locked her up and she cried. He also told me something that left me frozen, he told me that another old man was kissing my aunt and that the nurses didn't do anything, they just said “oh it's just slime”, it seemed so disgusting and horrible that I don't know what to think. My aunt doesn't speak because of her condition, she doesn't even walk anymore. He told me that they treated her very badly and that she suffered a lot here, that he wanted to adopt her and get her out of here. Among all that, she also told me that the nurses' father had abused them and I don't know what that has to do with it but it seems so unpleasant to me since sometimes their father is there in the nursing home as a patient. I really don't know what to think, I'm very confused and disappointed. I don't know what I can do because I'm not old enough or have the resources to do anything to help. Finally, the moment I left talking to this man, a patient approached me and told me “everything he told you is true, I swear it on my life” and I was even more shocked. Please help me know what to do.
