Does anyone here not have a talent or feel talentless
I feel like I see a lot of autistic and neurodivergent people who are super talented but for me I feel like such a loser. I’m weak, suck at sports due to a bad art, I love music and art but I suck at them. I really wanted to learn how to draw but quit because my family is judgmental and I didn’t want them making fun of me, my mom threatened to rip up my drawings as a joke. I can’t speak more than one language despite having immigrant parents. I mean I have gotten honor rolls multiple times I was even in a school program for it, but I mainly attributed it to doing the work and studying there were classes in which I struggled with like gym math, ela and languages. I sometimes got a c/d preventing me from honor roll, I had a high reading score, I think it was one of the highest in my school and I have an iq of 130 that is considered “high” (according to IQ test I took years ago in school) but I don’t considered myself smart because I always did the dumbest of things. I wish my parents actually put me in programs to learn a skill and talent but instead all I did was watch tv and browse the internet. It’s even worse when my parent complain about my lack of skills and compare me to much talented kids when they never did anything like other kids’ parents. Growing up I would see talented like those young prodigies who excel in things like martial arts gymnastics, art, music and etc and I wanted to be like them. Later on I discovered the savant autistic people in media who were super talented (at least at one thing) and smart they just sucked at social skills (like Sheldon cooper and the good doctor). I remeber there was like I wish my autism was like that maybe I could have had a really high paying career(still in college no job lol).
