Walleye Fishing From Shore
To give a description of the lake. There are two spots where it is an immediate drop off (Of about 3 feet) and then it is a gradual decent. At max depth our lake is about 20 feet (normally it is about 28 but it's extremely low due to droughts this year). As far as structure, lots of very shallow weed lines all throughout. Near shore (at least casting distance) there is no structure, just a muddy bottom.
This lake does not allow live bait, but I know it has spottail shiners in it (as I've cast netted them and tried them as dead bait). I've tried fishing evenings and mornings with not much luck. Mostly using nightcrawlers and fresh dead minnows on a hook.
I just picked up a slip bobber and bobber stopper so I can control my depth if I use a bobber, but I'm at a loss on how I can get a bite when fishing from shore. I do have rapalas that look similar to the shiners, have yet to try those but I'm open to any and all suggestions
