Tutorial for someone new to this kind of game?

My daughter suggested this and it sounded fun. I got my avatar designed, set my language and level, then got plopped into this farm scene. I was told to plant a bag of seeds so dragged them to the garden, then my avatar moved and now… relaxing music. No task, can’t move my avatar. I have no clue how to proceed and see no menu or info buttons. I’m sure they just drop you right in because most people are familiar with this type of game. But I am not. I’ve never played Farmville or any of those others. Is there a good “explain it like I’m an alien” tutorial somewhere?
