Yellow gold or white gold?

Ever since I was a little girl I have dreamed of a yellow gold engagement ring and have never considered any other option, I also exclusively wear yellow gold and rose gold jewelry. Recently, my partner and I went ring shopping and I very reluctantly tried on a white gold ring and it looked STUNNING with my very pale complexion. And the 14k and 18k yellow gold, admittedly, looked super bad. I’m actually kinda devastated and im worried that if I get a white gold ring I’ll regret it. I would appreciate any advice.
