Does gas block output from coming out?

When you have a bag full of gas, does it slow down/stop output until you burp the bag and release the gas? I don’t know too much about the anatomy and functions and everything, I’m a new ileostomate but I could swear this is happening to me.

It almost feels like the bag is putting pressure/suctioning on the stoma, then when I release it the pressures gone and I can feel my stomach start rumbling again and more output comes out right after. I’ve read everywhere that it’s involuntary and can’t be physically stopped though, so I must be experiencing something else?
