Why did Nintendo have SF Alpha 2 ported to SNES instead of N64?
I've been wondering about this for decades.
I mean the N64 was fresh on the market, and lord knows the N64 with its limited library could've used this game.
With Playstation and Saturn, the N64's direct competition at the time, both getting this game, I can't even imagine why they would decide to have it ported to the SNES instead, with major compromises for it to run on 16 bit hardware, when we were well into the 32 bit generation already.
Or was it perhaps Capcom's decision more so than Nintendo's?
Either way, the question still remains: why??
I can't find any real explanation online, and for some reason, I just must find an explanation lol
