Is "Pistol Pete Matty" about Claudio's brother?

It's never struck me before now, but could the name Pistol Pete Matty be a cover for Claudio's brother Matthew (mentioned in a few other songs)? The lyrics sound almost like a little drama, as in maybe they had an argument and Matthew was being self-centered. And in the end it talks about working things out and saying "I love you, anyway."

Also, he mentions an old man that longs for the past, but they were in the way (them being the inspiration for him to break the old habits of drugs that he's mentioned).

I just figured since this was an EP, that the songs didn't necessarily have to fit a story line, and obviously they were a bit more personal. Any thoughts?
