Considering moving from the USA to the UK and curious about a few things:

How strict is the UK with regards to non performance mods like different master cylinders, handlebars, suspension changes, footpegs, mirrors, extra lights, etc? I have heard some places in Europe (like Germany) can be pretty crazy about them, but not much about the UK.

Not trying to start a pros cons debate, but is using a car tire on the rear of a bike and/or a bike rear tire on the front actually illegal in the UK? I know a lot of Europeans think it is dumb/scary/whatever, and I don't care about perception, but what about actual legality? Or is there rules about only using factory sized tires on your bike?

How do rules about mods work when riding through other countries? Like say I have handlebars or whatever on my bike that are legal in the UK where my bike is registered, but wouldn't be allowed in Germany. If I get stopped in Germany are German cops likely to give me trouble for it if I am just riding through Germany? Or will they not care?

Anyone with recent experiencing importing a bike from the USA to the UK? My friend and I are considering moving there with her 2021 Rebel 1100 and my 2014 FJR1300, both have quite a few mods that could potentially be removed and put back on the same type of bikes purchased in the UK (although that would be a pain), so not sure if moving them would be worth it or not.

Anything else I should know as a rider seriously considering moving from the USA to the UK within the next year or so?
