Part 3: draw a line

NSFWPoem

tw: sexual abuse, enabling, bystander silence

this isn’t a callout.

it’s a mirror.

you heard the story.
maybe not the full thing—
but enough.
enough to feel your stomach twist.
enough to know something wasn’t right.
just not enough to speak.
because speaking
might’ve cost you comfort.
so you stayed quiet.
called it drama.
but deep down,
you knew.
silence always feels safer
when it isn’t yours being broken.

you still dap them up.
still post them.
still follow both sides—
like neutrality is peace,
not protection
for the one who did it.

you ask,
“why didn’t they say anything?”
but you were everyone.

you can’t support both.
you can’t hug the victim
and hold hands with the reason they flinch.
you can’t repost their healing
while protecting what hurt them.
you can’t say “i’m proud of you”
if your loyalty still leans toward
the silence that left them ashamed.

because if you believe them,
then believe all of them—
even the part
that needs you to draw a line.
