I don't need the best monitor for my Mac Mini

I need help determining what monitor to get for my new Mac Mini. It's been a very long time since I've shopped for something other than an office monitor (my previous home desktop was an iMac, so the choice was made for me), and I've really never shopped for a monitor with photography at all in mind (despite being a hobby photographer for decades).

What I DON'T need is anything top-of-the-line or anything that matches colors perfectly. I'm very much a hobbyist who shoots a few senior portrait or family sessions for acquaintences. And I can't spend a thousand or more on a monitor.

What's a reasonable budget, and what suggestions do you have for a 27" monitor that'll have a nice-looking display and be "pretty good" for photo editing? Thanks!
