Any way to downscale for mobile version?

I'm coming from Wix, where we have/had two versions of the site editor; one for desktop and one for mobile. While I see Wordpress sites are automatically responsive, I don't like the ordering of the content. I have two columns on the page so, naturally, on movile version it puts column one above column 2. My problem is that colum 1 is much longer because it's a side bar, and column 2 is my main content. So, how can I either hide a bunch of the content in column 1 from appearing on the movile version, or break it out into a separate column, just on mobile? The end goal here is just to see the top part of column one, followed by everything in column 2. Everything else in column 1, below the fold, is just irrelevant fluff that mobile users don't need, but right now, as it is, you have to scroll and scroll and scroll through it all to get to the main content (column 2) way at the bottom, when viewing on smart phone.

For reference, here is the site I made yesterday: www.cokeknife.com

Thanks.
