The wind tunnel thing

I keep reading it's impossible Amy would have left the room as, the minute you open the cabin door, there should be a wind tunnel or some kind of draft that would have inevitably awaken the whole family.

I have never been on a cruise where the boat was docked in the port of Curacao. Does anybody have been in this situation at this time of the year and could confirm it's windy?

Also for those who know the case very well: what's the FBI explanation about this?
