Polyurethane finish not drying glossy?

Hi everyone, not sure if this is the right place to post for this, but figured it may be the best!

I’m currently working on some pine wood pieces, and after finishing staining, I decided to go over with the Minwax Warm Satin Polyurethane finish. While (almost) every single piece of wood has now achieve that glossy look, I have one piece of wood, that on one side, refuses to be glossy. I’m incredibly confused as to what could be causing this.

I already tried a fresh can that I mixed. I sanded down the side once more and even with a new can, it is still drying fairly matte. Any ideas? Thank you!
