Fear of mismatching ram and motherboard
Hey all of you. I’m currently collecting the parts for my new pc build and I’m pretty happy with what I got.
But after looking on the page of my motherboard for compatibility of ram, the ram I choose didn’t show up.
Now there is this guy who actually used the same combination of motherboard and ram (well the 16gb version of the sticks but it doesn’t show up on the motherboard page either) and he doesn’t seem to have any issues with it: https://de.pcpartpicker.com/b/qfPXsY
What I’m wondering now is if anyone of you has this combination as well or if you know if I can combine the two parts.
I could technically order the ram, test it out, and then return it within two weeks as long as it isn’t damaged. Does mismatching the ram with the mobo cause any physical damage?
