My boyfriend hit me last night

So yesterday I told my boyfriend I really wanted to go to the movies we live together so we hardly ever go out on dates he hates going out . But anyways I told him I bought the tickets for the movies so we can go once he gets off work I told him two days prior he agreed. The night of I pick him up from work and he gets in the car huffing and puffing and I asked what’s wrong and he said the movies and how he didn’t want to go and how we can just watch movies at home and we don’t have the money . This made me frustrated because I already paid for the tickets and he kept saying we can’t afford it but it was already paid for so I started crying telling him how we don’t ever go out and things escalated I told him we can afford it and that’s he’s not broke just cheap and that I paid for it so it doesn’t matter he proceeds to take out his phone and login his chime and then shove his phone in my face till my face presssd up against the window (he was driving) out of reaction I shoved his face back he then socks me in my face and gives me a swollen eye he apologize but I just think I should break it off
