Baanisa!

MISC

I had once posted with the same title recently. I had to delete after a friend scolded me for posting and hurting feelings. I had the guilt of deleting it and posting it now after the recent War 2 function. I'm gonna give the postscript adds before as well for those who don't wanna read the long post. P.S. This isn't targeted towards a particular actor/actress rather towards those who specifically call themselves as "Baanisa".

TL;DR: Baanisas don't have a voice and you don't have to read further. Praise whatever that's in theatres as cinemas and sleep to your heart's content.

I'm a big time Chiranjeevi fan. I have not seen him as supreme hero but as Mega Star. I have seen how he ruled TFI and how Telugu cinema was divided into only two genres viz., Chiru's movie and others, unlike now.

And we're here. Telugu cinema has grown beyond boundaries than erstwhile established ones. Thanks to directors like Mr. Rajamouli, our movies are described in "English". Not just the language but region. Yet, we're still stuck in caste and hero based worship.

Banisa means slave, not that you don't know it, but understand the impact. You've no voice. You can't complain. Forget about complaining, you can't even speak. You get what you get and you MUST be happy with what you are and what you get.

When Chimtu said "Meeku movies tiyyadame ekkuva," as Baanisaas, you shouldn't have an answer. Malli postlu pettakandi Chimtu adi idi ani. He knows what he said. You understand what you have signed up for.

My only plea is that to request each and everyone in this Tollywood s*breddit to understand the meaning of the term they're attribution themselves to.

. Coming to Mr. Tarak aka Jr. NTR getting frustrated and threating to leave in his latest movie function, which led me to post this after seeing some posts here. What do these people think about themselves? Even politicians who matter a lot in societal dynamics don't do these antics. It's not just about Mr. Tarak. Mr. Pawan Kalyan, being Dy. CM and also a current superstar in Telugu cinema openly instigated fans to a war. What's this? These are just lead actors in so called high budget movies which the audience aren't even funding.

Can we imagine any Hollywood superstar like Brad Pitt or Leonardo DiCaprio doing the same? We all know the fate of Will Smith after the Academy awards incident. If it was Balayya in our local awards, I'm pretty sure of having a dozen posts here defending him as childish mentality or "chinna pillodu ma Balayya." This is baanisathvam.

Other southern industries have more reputation when it comes to low budget movies. We have good directors who can't shine (our sad state). That doesn't mean that were not capable.

Please don't let our industry down with your "Baanisathvam" aka accepting every trash that comes your way. You even flush your own toilet after pooping. Please don't flush your money for a ""poop" movie.

Having said that, I wanna close on the same lines I started. I'm a hardcore anna fan. But I haven't watched a single movie of his after his comeback, all of which were trash. I don't read reviews but rather asked my peers whether it was with my money, like old days when internet wasn't so prevalent. I don't regret not watching Bhola Shankar in a theatre nor any of his movies post comeback. I like him not the theater. I want to see a better Chiru than he was in Shankar Dada M.B.B.S." His movies weren't as great until now. It's that simple.

You've your own favourite actors. Appreciate when they deliver. Don't suck cocks when they didn't. It's also simple. In other words, don't be a banisa. The term itself is humiliating. Don't wear it with pride. Have some self respect.

You've a life that involves people that need you. Don't waste it over people who live in their own world and appreciate you like your ex girlfriend/boyfriend did only when they needed. It's your money your spending. Respect your effort to earn them. Period.

Adios!
