Why animal sacrifices should be so cruel in OLD TESTAMENT

I have recently started studying bible with CEB version which I can easily understand it but when I started reading exodus, i felt like animal sacrifices and lord dwelling place are of too much materialistic senses rather than a spiritual one?

They keep on mentioning that aron and his sons get the left over portion of premium goods by themselves after offering to lord and their clothes etc everything was made of fancy and premium materials....even though it's mentioned god is merciful and sacrifices are to counter the sin ,why would God enjoy the burned offering smell of blood and other parts of a animal? Who is living in the tent? Isn't aron went into the tent that means he has seen god and yet he didn't died?

When they mentioned in Egypt that black magic made by other pharaoh priests same as moses did ....so my question was is moses doing all this stuff by himself just to benefit himself and the one who he liked most like aron ,because aron is getting all the donations and wonderful gifts after little portion of offering to god.

The tent is like a palace with heavy and wonderful item.since moses has grown up inside the egypt kingdom ,does he know black magic like other persists?

Why would aron and his sons enjoy all the left over part of donatuons6? Why would God need wonderful place to live inside tent while he literally walked with them before?..why would God enjoy brutual killing of an animal and enjoying it's burning sent? ... isn't moses by himself makeup all this just like to benefit himself and his liked ones luring people into fake superstitions and using his black magic is he doing all this? The killing of animals in Old teastment is so so brutal.....if aron is going inside tent ,what was he doing inside the tent?
