Anyone had success doing delivery work?

Hi everyone,

I've got a converted mid-sized van. I'm currently not using a fixed bed, so I have a massive amount of cargo space available, just with my kitchen unit running down one side. It got me thinking about using the van to earn a bit of extra cash doing delivery work.

I know the biggest and most obvious hurdle is insurance. Standard campervan insurance is a definite no-go, and what's needed is "Hire and Reward" cover.

My main questions are:

Has anyone successfully managed to get Hire and Reward insurance? Every time I've looked, it seems like a no go for insurers.

Even with the right insurance, has anyone actually been accepted by and worked for these platforms in their converted van? I'm picturing turning up at the Amazon depot and being told to jog on because my van has a window and a kitchen in it.

Am I chasing a lost cause here, or is there a legitimate way to make this work without having to buy a separate, standard panel van?

Would be massively grateful for any real-world experiences or advice you have!

Cheers.
