How to use Azelaic acid at the same time??

I have finacea 15% (aza) for my rosacea anyway but also have differin 0.1 that I want to start for my acne and texture. How/when do I apply my actives so I can still use both? Did you find azeliac acid helped with irritation/redness when adjusting to retinoids???
